The transport mobile application is the on-road counterpart to the parent app. Drivers and attendants see the trip they are running — the assigned route, the stops and the students expected on that bus — rather than a generic map.
The application is used to start and complete trips, confirm boarding and drop-off where RFID is part of the deployment, and raise a problem to the school while the vehicle is still on the road. Location from the GPS device stays in the same platform, so what the driver sees is the same trip the school and parents are looking at.
Access is issued only to designated transport staff. What they can see and do is configured with the institution, so a contractor’s crew and a school-owned fleet can be set up differently.
