The situation
The school has no visibility of its buses once they leave the gate, and the transport office fields parent enquiries throughout the morning run. Transportation records are kept by hand, and management reporting is compiled manually when it is needed at all.
How it is scoped
Requirement analysis and a transportation assessment establish the fleet, routes and transportation policy. Advanced 4G GPS tracking devices are installed across the fleet. The cloud platform, school dashboard and parent mobile application are set up, then routes and student allocations are configured. Staff training and parent application deployment follow testing and commissioning. RFID is scoped but deferred to a later phase.
What the configuration provides
The configured solution provides live bus location, route monitoring, geofencing, speed monitoring and trip history on the dashboard, with live bus location, estimated arrival and bus movement notifications in the parent application. Daily trip, route, speed and geofence reports are available, with ongoing technical support under an AMC.
