Single campus · GPS plus RFID · student safety the priority
A school adding student-level tracking
An institution that wants to know not only where the bus is but which students are on it, with boarding and drop-off recorded rather than remembered.
Illustrative configuration
- Core components
- GPS · RFID · dashboard · parent app
- Student record
- ID → bus → boarding → journey → drop-off
- Added reports
- RFID · boarding · drop-off
- Parent visibility
- Per school policy
The situation
Vehicle tracking answers where a bus is, but the school cannot answer whether a specific child boarded, when, or where they were dropped. Transportation attendance is a paper exercise, and student transportation reporting does not exist.
How it is scoped
The solution adds RFID configuration to the GPS deployment. Each student is assigned an RFID card or tag, mapped to their allocated bus and route during route and student configuration. Boarding and drop-off information is enabled in the parent application, subject to the school’s transportation policy.
What the configuration provides
The record follows student identification, bus identification, boarding, journey and drop-off — capturing boarding time, drop-off time, bus number and route information. RFID-based attendance and student transportation reports are produced by the platform, and student RFID, boarding and drop-off reports join the MIS set.
Would this configuration suit your institution?
